Waiting for the first launch or trade…

Launching a token

A field-by-field walkthrough of the launch form — what every control does, which choices are permanent, and exactly what making a coin costs you.

Everything happens on the Launch page. You fill in the form, confirm in your wallet, and your coin is live and trading.

You need two things first: a wallet connected to Robinhood Chain, and a little ETH in it — enough to cover the launch fee plus gas.

There is one launch path

Your coin deploys straight onto a real pool with its full supply already in it. No bonding curve, no graduation, no second mode to pick between and regret, and no tax logic inside the token itself.

It is tradeable on the exchange the moment the transaction confirms, and you are not asked to put up any liquidity to make that happen. The single-sided pool explains how that works and why there is no curve to graduate from.

Only four things are required

The form looks long because it offers a lot. Almost none of it is compulsory. To launch you need:

  1. A name
  2. A ticker
  3. A total supply within the allowed range (pre-filled)
  4. A valid fee recipient (pre-filled with your own wallet)

Everything else — image, description, socials, dev buy, stealth, venue, pair — either has a working default or is genuinely optional. If you fill in a name and a ticker and press the button, that is a complete launch.

The form, field by field

Coin

  • Coin image — upload or drag and drop. Optional, but a coin with no art shows a plain grey placeholder everywhere it appears, which does it no favours.
  • Name — the human name. "Sushi".
  • Ticker — the short symbol. Typed in any case and upper-cased for you as you type, so "myt" becomes "MYT".
  • Description — optional, shown on your coin's page.

Chain

Where the coin deploys. More chains are on the way; today this is where you confirm you are launching on the one you meant to.

AMM venue

Uniswap V3, SushiSwap V3 or Uniswap V4. Uniswap V3 is the default and the sensible answer for most launches.

Every venue seeds your pool identically — 100% of your token, zero quote asset, at a 1.00% swap fee. SushiSwap V3 is an unmodified Uniswap V3 fork. Uniswap V4 holds every pool in one contract rather than one contract per pair, and is the only venue that can pair against tokenized stocks. See AMM venues for the longer version.

Pair with

What your coin trades against — see what your token trades against below. ETH by default.

Dev buy

Optional. Buys some of your own coin in the same transaction as the launch, so you get in at the opening price before anyone else can.

The form shows roughly what percentage of supply your amount would get, and the summary updates the starting market cap to show where your own buy will move it. That percentage is an estimate: the real figure depends on the price at the moment your transaction lands.

A dev buy is a normal thing to do and a visible one: whatever you buy shows up in your coin's Top holders tab as "Creator holds", live, for as long as you hold it.

Stealth launch

Optional. Keeps your coin out of Explore, Pulse, search and the trade ticker on this site, so you choose who gets the link. The coin's own page still works.

Tick it and you can also set Show it on the site at — a time when it appears in listings by itself. Leave that empty to stay hidden until you reveal it manually.

This hides your launch from the website, not from the chain. Anyone watching contract events sees it the moment it is mined. It stops people browsing the site; it does not stop snipers.

Show more options

Three things live behind this toggle, all optional, all with sensible defaults. This is where to look if you cannot find a control you expected:

  • Social links — X, Telegram, Discord and website, shown on your coin's page. Each is checked for the right shape, so a Telegram link has to actually be a Telegram link.
  • Where your earnings go — the fee recipient, the address that receives your share of every trade's fee. Defaults to your connected wallet. It is a single address, and it is the one thing you can change after launch.
  • Supplytotal supply, how many tokens will ever exist. The allowed range is read from the contract and printed in the field's own label. There is no "right" number: supply and price are two sides of the same thing, and market cap is what people actually compare. More supply just means each token is individually cheaper.

The summary, before you confirm

Four figures sit above the button, and one panel beside it.

RowWhat it means
Starting market capThe valuation your pool opens at. Set by the platform, not by you — every launch opens at the same figure. With a dev buy it reads opening → after your buy.
Launch feeRead live from the contract, not hard-coded here.
Dev buyYour amount, and the estimated share of supply it buys. "None" if you skipped it.
Total ETH neededLaunch fee plus dev buy. Gas is on top, and small.

The preview panel shows the card your coin will produce — the artwork, name and ticker exactly as they will appear in the grid everyone else browses. The artwork and the name are the two hardest things to change later, so it is worth looking at.

What it costs

  • The launch fee, in ETH.
  • Gas, a small amount, also in ETH.
  • Your dev buy, if you chose one. Optional.

That is the whole cost. You are not required to contribute any liquidity: the pool opens holding 100% of the supply and zero real ETH. ETH only enters as people buy.

Confirming

For an ordinary ETH-paired launch this is one signature. The launch fee and any dev buy are both paid as native ETH in the launch transaction itself — there is nothing to approve first.

You will see a second, earlier transaction in exactly one case: a dev buy on a pair that is not ETH. A USDG or stock dev buy is pulled by transferFrom, so it needs an allowance, and the button says Approve USDG (or the stock's ticker) before it says Launch token. Without that step the launch reverts inside the transfer, and the wallet reports it as "insufficient funds" rather than as a missing approval — which is why the form makes it a separate, labelled step.

Then you land on your coin's page, already trading.

Things worth knowing before you launch

  • The AMM venue is permanent. Chosen at launch, never changeable.
  • The pair is permanent. Also chosen at launch.
  • Supply is fixed forever. There is no mint function — not for you, not for us. See Security.
  • The fee recipient is the one thing you can change afterwards, from My Launches.

Image, description and social links can all be edited after launch too. The chain-level decisions cannot.

What your token trades against

Every pool has two sides: your coin, and a quote asset — what buyers pay with, and what your price is quoted in.

ETH is the default and the right answer for most launches, because it is what most people already hold. The Pair with section offers the alternatives:

  • USDG, a dollar stablecoin, so your coin's price reads directly in dollars.
  • Tokenized stocks30 of them, on the Uniswap V4 venue only. Your coin's price is then quoted in shares of that stock, and it is labelled Anchored to RWA across the site. The full list is here.
  • Memecoins8 established coins already trading on this chain (CASHCAT, PIPEDOG, HMM, CHUMP, TENDIES, MANCER, YOLO and STONKBROKER), also V4 only. Pairing against one anchors your coin to a community that is already here: anybody holding that coin can trade yours without buying anything else first.

Whichever you pick, a buyer can still pay in ETH — the site routes it through the pair asset in a single transaction, so they never have to go and find shares or a memecoin first. See Buying with ETH.

Pairing against a stock requires ticking an acknowledgement first. If you then switch to a different stock, the acknowledgement resets — agreeing to the risks of one equity is not agreeing to another's.

Three things to know before choosing:

It is permanent. The pool is created at launch and its pair can never be changed.

A dev buy follows the pair. Pair against USDG or a stock and your dev buy is paid in that asset rather than ETH, so you need to hold some and will approve the spend first. The launch fee is always paid in the chain's own gas token regardless.

It narrows your buyers. Someone needs the quote asset to trade the pair. ETH and USDG are easy to buy into; a stock pair is more distinctive. Both are legitimate — choose knowing the trade-off.

Somebody has to be able to get the stock. Of the 30 equities you can pair against, 11 have a market on this chain and can be bought with ETH on the Swap page — MSTR, SPY, NVDA, SPCX, COIN, CRCL, META, QQQ, GME, TSLA and AAPL. The other 19 can be paired against, but there is nowhere on this chain to buy them yet, so a buyer would have to bring their own. That makes them a harder pair to trade, not a broken one. See Tokenized stocks.

After you launch

Your coin appears in My Launches, where you can edit its image, description and links, change where its fees are paid, and collect what it has earned.

You do not have to collect anything for the money to arrive — see Collecting your fees.
